Lori A. Coleman, MD Lori A. Coleman, MD

Dr. Lori Coleman attended college at the University of California, San Diego where she graduated summa cum laude with a degree in biomedical engineering. She then completed medical school at the University of California, San Francisco. This was followed by an internship in San Diego at Mercy Hospital. Dr. Coleman returned to the University of California, San Francisco and completed a residency in radiation oncology.

She is Board Certified in Radiation Oncology. Dr. Coleman is the Medical Director at Sharp Chula Vista, California. Dr. Coleman has been with X-Ray Medical Group Radiation Oncology (XRO) since 1998.




Kelly D. DeWitt, MD Kelly D. DeWitt, MD

Dr. DeWitt received her undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN graduating cum laude in 1992. After completing her medical degree from East Tennessee State University in 1999 where she was selected as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society she relocated to San Francisco, CA for her Intern year followed by residency at University of California, San Francisco.

Dr. DeWitt is Board Certified in Radiation Oncology. She joined X-Ray Medical Group Radiation Oncology after completing residency in 2004 and is currently based at Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa, CA. While she enjoys working with all types of cancer patients, her specialties include breast cancer, lung cancer, and stereotactic radiosurgery.





Siavash Jabbari, MD Siavash Jabbari, MD

Dr. Siavash Jabbari earned his Medical Degree at the University of Michigan, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society. He was subsequently recruited to the University of California San Francisco for residency training where he served as chief resident.

Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Jabbari practiced in Chicago while serving as Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at the Chicago Medical School. He currently practices in San Diego, CA, where he serves as the radiation oncology Medical Director of the Lauryl Amtower Neuro-Oncology Program and Cancer Institute.

As a devoted advocate for public health and cancer patients, Dr. Jabbari contributes regularly to several regional television and media outlets as an expert commentator and recurring guest. His advocacy work also includes regional and national leadership positions in health policy, government relations, and charitable foundations. He was the invited physician speaker for Susan G. Komen's 2019 annual More Than Pink gala, and currently serves as a board member of the Sharp Healthcare Foundation.

Dr. Jabbari has published nine authoritative textbook chapters and nineteen peer-reviewed journal articles in a wide range of cancers and advanced medical technologies, including for breast, head and neck, brain, spine, lung, cervical, and prostate cancers. Dr. Jabbari is the current principle investigator of several on-going prospective clinical trials in oncology, and actively serves as an expert reviewer for several scientific journals. He is a regular invited speaker for numerous regional, national, and international scientific and medical meetings, including as an invited speaker at the 2016 and the 2017 Australian and New Zealand Royal Academy of Radiology/Radiation Oncology (RANZCR), and moderating the Presidential Symposium of the American Society of Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) 2009 annual meeting.

Dr. Jabbari currently serves as an invited member of the American Radium Society (ARS)/American College of Radiology (ACR) Appropriateness Criteria Brain Committee, the authoritative international body for the formulation of expert evidence-based guidelines for the treatment of brain tumors.

Dr. Jabbari has been elected by San Diego physicians for San Diego Magazine’s “Top Doctor-Physicians of Exceptional Excellence” award in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2021. He is also a finalist for the American Cancer Society's Inaugural Cancer Care Champions of the Year Awards.

Sunanda Pejavar, MD Sunanda Pejavar, MD

Sunanda Pejavar, MD, completed her undergraduate degree at University of California, Berkeley, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a dual major in Pre-Med and History, and a minor in Spanish. She then graduated from Yale University School of Medicine in 2006 as an AOA Medical Honor Society and Parker Prize recipient. She completed her residency in Radiation Oncology at University of California, San Francisco in 2011. Dr. Pejavar is Board Certified in Radiation Oncology.

Her medical interests include breast, gynecologic, and head and neck cancers, and state-of-the-art techniques such as intensity modulated radiation therapy, stereotactic radiosurgery for brain and body, and partial breast irradiation. She strives to be an advocate for her patients, and she strongly believes in a holistic approach to cancer care. Her personal interests include travel, dance, and yoga. Dr. Pejavar is a Partner with XRO and primarily practices at Sharp Memorial Hospital in the Outpatient Pavilion in San Diego.

Barry Uhl, MD Barry Uhl, MD

Dr. Uhl, XRO's CFO, was born and raised in the Midwest. He attended college at St. Mary's University in San Antonio, TX receiving a B.A. in Biology. He returned home to the University of Nebraska School of Medicine for his medical degree, where he was also able to continue his oncology research at the Eppley Cancer Center and the Omaha V.A. Medical Center. Upon completion of medical school, he finished an intern year of Internal Medicine at UNMC. This was followed by a residency in Radiation Oncology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. At Baylor he was named Chief Resident his final year. Upon completion of his residency he joined X-Ray Medical Group Radiation Oncology in San Diego, CA.

Dr. Uhl is Board Certified in Radiation Oncology and serves as the Medical Director of Radiation Oncology at Sharp Grossmont Hospital and the Donna and David Long Center for Cancer Treatment. He is also a member of the Board of Governors for the Grossmont Hospital Foundation. While Dr. Uhl treats all manner of patients and cancer diagnoses, he specifically does research and speaking engagements regarding the use of Tomotherapy for Prostate Cancer, Head and Neck Cancer, and Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy.

Ruben Carmona, MD Ruben Carmona, MD

Dr. Ruben Carmona is a board-certified radiation oncologist. He is originally from San Diego and completed his undergraduate studies, master's degree, and medical doctorate at the University of California San Diego. He then traveled to Philadelphia to complete his internal medicine internship and radiation oncology residency at the University of Pennsylvania. While there, he received top-notch training in the management of common and rare tumors, using a variety of radiotherapy technologies, including intensity-modulated proton therapy (IMPT), intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), stereotactic ablative radiotherapy (SBRT/SABR), Cyberknife, Gamma Knife, and high-dose-rate (HDR) brachytherapy.

Before joining XRO, he was an Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at the University of Miami. While there, he primarily treated patients with IMPT and IMRT and gained further experience in MRI-guided radiotherapy (MRgRT). After nearly two years in Miami, he was thrilled at the opportunity to return to San Diego to become a member of XRO. He is incredibly proud to have the knowledge and skill to treat patients with various cancers from all walks of life at the Douglas & Nancy Barnhart Cancer Center at Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center.

Croix Fossum, MD Croix Fossum, MD

Dr. Croix Fossum is a Minnesota native who completed his undergraduate education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he studied molecular biology. He then worked in a cancer research laboratory at the Mayo Clinic before attending Mayo Medical School in Rochester, MN. After medical school, he moved to the west coast to complete his residency training at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles where he served as chief resident and received mentorship from some of the top clinicians in the field of radiation oncology.

Dr. Fossum’s clinical interests include using advanced radiation techniques such as stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), volumetric modulated arc radiotherapy (VMAT), and high dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy to treat cancers from head to toe. He takes pride in ensuring that each patient under his care receives a customized plan tailored to his or her specific needs. He feels incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to join an outstanding team of physicians and staff at the Sharp Memorial Hospital Outpatient Pavilion where he primarily practices.

Andrew Bruggeman, MD Andrew Bruggeman, MD

Andrew Bruggeman, MD, is a radiation oncologist with dual board certification in radiation oncology and internal medicine. He is from Toledo, Ohio and completed his undergraduate studies at The Ohio State University. He then obtained his medical degree in his hometown at the University of Toledo College of Medicine. Following medical school, he moved to San Diego where he completed training in internal medicine and radiation oncology at the UC San Diego School of Medicine. He then joined the faculty at UC San Diego as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiation Medicine where he stayed on faculty for over three years.

He received numerous accolades during his tenure at UC San Diego including the 2018 American Society of Clinical Oncology Young Investigator Award, the 2019 UC San Diego House Officer of the Year award, and the 2021 Academy of Clinician Scholars Award for excellence in teaching. He has several peer-reviewed publications which primarily focused on the use of radiotherapy to improve quality of life. He is highly experienced in the use of intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), stereotactic ablative radiotherapy (SBRT/SABR), intensity modulated proton therapy (IMPT), and high-dose-rate (HDR) brachytherapy.

Dr. Bruggeman is an expert voting member on the American Radium Society (ARS) appropriate use committee on palliation, the international committee for the formulation of expert evidence-based guidelines on the use of palliative radiation therapy. He also serves on the executive committee for the Society for Palliative Radiation Oncology (SPRO) and is an active member of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiation Oncology (ASTRO).

Outside of work, Dr. Bruggeman enjoys golfing and spending time with his wife and three kids. His primary practice location is at the Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center where he is grateful for the opportunity to serve the San Diego South Bay community. Dr. Bruggeman speaks Spanish.
