Treatment for Left Breast Cancer at Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego. For patients with left-sided breast cancer, a special device may be used to help a woman hold her breath during radiation treatments. The ABC, or Active Breathing Coordinator, is a type of device used for this purpose and is offered at our Sharp Memorial treatment center.

Dr. Jabbari recently spoke at the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life event in Sharp Chula Vista, emphasizing family and community awareness and outreach, the importance and "how to" of prevention and early detection, and the many resources available for people of all ages and backgrounds for healthy living (with or without a cancer diagnosis).

XRO Attends Bi-National Congress for Cervical Cancer in Tijuana –  July 2, 2013
Dr. Siavash Jabbari of XRO, and several cancer expert colleagues from Sharp Healthcare served as recent invited speakers at the first annual Bi-national Congress for Cervical Cancer, held in Tijuana, Baja on July 2nd and organized by the Baja Secretary of Health. During this day-long event, Dr. Jabbari and his colleagues discussed and shared cutting edge advancements in the care of patient with cervical cancer, the seconleading cause of cancer death in Baja. The target audience of this collaborative and educational Congress included several hundred primary care providers and oncologists, policy makers, and other patient advocates from both Mexico and the US. This continuing medical education (CME) event is the first in a series, including an upcoming similar Congress on breast cancer planned for October 3rd, 2013.
